The npm package velocityfix was found to contain malware. According to the GitHub Advisory (GHSA-2736-v5cj-q9x5), any computer that has this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised.\n\nImmediate remediation requires rotating all secrets and keys stored on affected computers from a different, uncompromised system. While the package should be removed, full system compromise means there is no guarantee that removal will eliminate all malicious software that may have been installed as a result of the initial package installation.\n\nThis incident was disclosed on 2026-06-29 via the GitHub Advisory database.
