A malicious version of the npm package @qlik/oxlint-config was identified and published to the npm registry. The package contained malware that grants full control of affected systems to an outside entity.\n\nAny computer with this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised. The GitHub Security Advisory (GHSA-whjc-mw6q-4cpw) was published on 2026-08-04 to alert users of the compromise.\n\nImmediate remediation requires rotating all secrets and keys from a different, uncompromised computer, and removing the package. However, due to the full system compromise, there is no guarantee that package removal will eliminate all malicious software installed as a result of the initial compromise.
