A malicious version of the npm package @qlik/design-tokens was published and made available to users. The package contained malware that grants full control of affected systems to an outside entity.\n\nAny computer that installed or ran this package should be considered fully compromised. The advisory recommends immediate rotation of all secrets and keys from a different, uncompromised computer.\n\nWhile the malicious package should be removed, there is no guarantee that removal will eliminate all malicious software that may have been installed as a result of the compromise. Full system remediation and security review is necessary.\n\nThe incident was disclosed via GitHub Advisory GHSA-p4mv-wfgp-356c on 2026-08-04.
