A critical malware incident was identified in the npm package @meteora-sdk/core, published via GitHub Advisory GHSA-f5pc-vrcw-c7r3 on July 30, 2026.\n\nAny computer with this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised. The malware grants outside entities full control of affected systems, allowing potential exfiltration of secrets, keys, and other sensitive data.\n\nImmediate action is required: all secrets and keys stored on affected computers must be rotated from a different, uncompromised system. While the package should be removed, complete removal of all malicious software cannot be guaranteed due to the level of system compromise achieved.\n\nUsers should assume that removing the package alone is insufficient to fully remediate the compromise.
