The malware may provide attackers with complete system access and the ability to exfiltrate sensitive data.\n\nImmediate remediation requires rotating all secrets and keys from a different, uncompromised computer. While the package should be removed, there is no guarantee that removal will eliminate all malicious software that may have been installed as a result of the initial compromise.\n\nThis incident was disclosed via GitHub Advisory GHSA-f7vv-5p73-c4rr on 2026-06-29.
